Aims & Objectives

Mathematics Department

Mathematics consists of patterns and truths to be discovered, methods to be used, and problems to be investigated and solved if possible; but there are also facts to be learned and remembered for use when necessary. Progress is made by the pupil as she increases the breadth and depth of her knowledge of the subject, but the bases from which progress is made must always be secure and firm. The Mathematics Department is an exciting and forward thinking department of the school which is continually exploring new ways to present the subject in a stimulating and innovative way.
